Windows, Auto model selection, teams and the Board
Zokie runs on Windows, picks a model per task with Auto, clones repositories for you, and adds teams, backups and the Board.
Highlights
Zokie runs on Windows
The same app now runs on Windows 10 and 11 as well as macOS. Every release ships both, and every installed copy is offered the update, Mac or Windows.
Auto picks the model for each task
With Auto turned on (paid plans), your first message is sized as small, normal or deep. Small work gets a cheaper model, normal work a standard one, and deep work is planned on the strongest model and built on the next one down. A note in the chat says what was picked and why, and choosing a model yourself always wins. Auto also shows what it saved you compared with using the strongest model every time.
Gemini CLI and Cursor CLI run tasks
Alongside Claude Code and Codex, Gemini CLI and Cursor CLI can now run tasks. Pick a model from each tool's own list, and the chat keeps its conversation from one message to the next. The Connections page tells you plainly when a tool is signed out and how to fix it.
Clone a repository into a task
Add repository now clones for you: pick one of your GitHub repositories, or paste any address from GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or your own server, and Zokie downloads it and attaches it to the task in one step.
The Board
Every Code and Studio task on one page, in five columns: Backlog, Running, Needs you, In review and Done. Switch to a list, grid or timeline, search, filter and drag cards. Cards move on their own when an agent starts, asks you something, opens a PR or merges.
Teams, billing and cloud backup
Create a team with its own name and logo, invite people as Owners, Billing or Members, and manage seats. The Billing page shows your plan, upgrades and invoices. On a paid plan, Zokie backs up your tasks and chats every minute, and a new Mac restores them during setup.
Subtasks with shared context
A task can open subtasks as tabs above its chat. Each subtask has its own agent but works in the same folder and branch, and knows what the main task and the other subtasks were asked and how far each got.
Mirror the iOS Simulator, and tap and type into it
The Simulator tab mirrors the running iPhone or Android device inside Zokie. On iOS you can click to tap, drag to swipe and type straight into the app.
Improvements
- Eight ready-made themes: Graphite, Nightshade, Ink, Macaron, Slate, Espresso, Glacier and Dusk.
- Search All files by name or by any line of text, and jump straight to the line.
- Plans open in the Preview pane on their own tab instead of filling the chat.
- Images in a chat open in a viewer with arrows to step through them.
- MCPs and Skills tabs on Connections, and a clean-up that reclaims space from archived tasks.
- Import a
.ipynbnotebook from Colab, Kaggle or Jupyter into Studio. - Task list dots use the Board's status colours.
- Drafts you typed but did not send are kept when you switch tabs.
- Pull requests opened from Zokie end with a "Built with Zokie" link.
Fixes
- Stop really stops, and Send becomes Stop while an agent works.
- Messages typed in the Claude app show in the chat and run as turns.
- Connections shows loaders while models and tools load.
