Zokie for Notion
Turn a spec or bug report into a coding task without leaving Notion. Start a comment with @Zokie and what you want built. Zokie uses the shared page as context, does the work on your computer, and posts updates in the same discussion.
The Notion connection is in development. These steps describe the upcoming release.
Before you start
- A Zokie account. Zokie is invite-only for now: ask for an invite.
- Zokie installed, open and signed in on your computer. That is where the agent does the work.
- A Notion workspace where you can connect Zokie and share the pages you want it to read.
Set it up
- Connect from Zokie. Once available, open Settings → Connections in the desktop app. Find Zokie for Notion and press Connect.
- Choose your pages. In the browser, pick your Notion workspace, select the pages to share and allow access. Return to Zokie to see your connected workspace. Each person connects their own account.
- Start a task. On a shared page, add a new comment beginning with
@Zokie new Fix the login redirect. You can type@Zokieas plain text. The page’s text becomes context for the task. - Keep the conversation there. Reply in the same discussion with
@Zokieand your next instruction, or@Zokie statusto see how it is going. - Review the result. Zokie posts a summary and the pull request link when one is available. Review the work, then reply
@Zokie mergewhen you want it merged.
You can choose the model for tasks from Slack and Notion in Zokie’s Connections settings.

One discussion follows one task. Start a new discussion when you want to work on something else.

|---|---|
@Zokie <what to build> | In a new discussion: creates a task with the shared page as context and queues it for your computer. |

@Zokie task <what to do later> | Saves a task to your Backlog. It waits until you ask Zokie to start it. |
@Zokie start | In the task’s discussion: starts the task using the model you picked in Zokie’s Connections settings. |
@Zokie <next instruction> | In the task’s discussion: sends your next instruction to the agent. |
@Zokie status | In the task’s discussion: shows its current status. Outside a task discussion, lists your five most recent tasks from this Notion workspace. The reply is visible to everyone who can read the discussion. |
@Zokie allow · @Zokie deny | Answers the agent’s pending permission request. |
@Zokie stop | Stops the agent working on this task. |
@Zokie merge | Asks your computer to merge the task’s pull request, if it has one. |
@Zokie help | Shows the commands and a reminder about who can see the replies. |
Only the person who started a task can steer it. Everyone who can read the discussion can see the replies.
What Zokie reads and shares
Zokie reads comments addressed to it on pages shared with the connection. When a comment starts a task, it reads the page title and text from up to the first 50 top-level blocks. The context is limited to about 9,000 characters. Nested content and additional text are omitted, and incomplete context is marked. Files and images are not downloaded. The page is a snapshot at task creation; later page edits are not automatically added to the task.
Your request and that page text are saved with the task and sent to the agent and model you use on your computer. Zokie keeps your Notion user and workspace IDs to connect your accounts, and page and discussion IDs to route replies. Connection credentials are stored encrypted.
Replies can include the task title, status, computer name, permission requests, pull request link, estimated spend at API prices and up to 600 characters of the agent’s last message. Progress updates are posted at most once every five minutes while work runs. These replies are visible to anyone who can read the discussion. See the Privacy Policy for how Zokie handles task data.
Disconnect Notion
In Zokie, open Settings → Connections and press Disconnect on Zokie for Notion. This disconnects your linked Notion workspaces and clears saved credentials and pending replies. Tasks already created and comments already posted remain. You can also remove the connection’s page access in Notion.
