Zokie, the agent IDE
Zokie is a small desktop app for macOS and Windows where AI coding agents do the work and you decide what ships. Write a task, let an agent build it on its own branch, review the diff, open the pull request.
How a task runs
- Write the task on the Board, or start it from Slack or your phone.
- Zokie gives it its own git worktree and branch, so tasks never step on each other.
- An agent writes the code. For parts that can run at once, it starts sub-agents.
- You review the diff against main, then it becomes a pull request.
Board, Code and Studio
- Board. Every task by status, from idea to merged. Agents pick tasks up from the board.
- Code. Agents write the code. You read the diff against main and decide what ships.
- Studio. A local notebook for data and ML, next to the code it belongs to.
Your agents, your subscriptions
Zokie runs Claude Code, Codex and Cursor CLI on the subscriptions you already pay for, with no relay and no markup. Kimi Code, OpenCode, Qwen Code and Goose run over ACP, the Agent Client Protocol: Zokie carries out every file read, edit and command for them and checks each one against your guardrails first. No subscription? Add an OpenRouter key and pick any model.
Auto mode sizes each task and picks the model that fits: a small one for a version bump, a frontier one for a hard change. It can save up to 30% on tokens and is free on every plan.
Built in
- Your Day. Hours at the keyboard, and a nudge when it is time to step away.
- Scheduled tasks (Pro). Any task, once or on repeat; each run reports back on the Board.
- Anywhere (Pro). The Zokie app for Android is a remote for the sessions on your laptop: approve a command, answer a question, read the diff or start a task. iOS is coming soon.
- MCP and Tasks API (Pro). Connect Zokie to your own tools.
Works with your team and tools
- Zokie for Teams: assign a task to a teammate or an agent from the same card, work in the agent chat together, and push guardrails to every seat.
- Zokie for Slack: mention @Zokie under a bug report and the thread becomes a task, with the pull request back in the same thread.
- Zokie for Notion (coming soon): turn comments on shared pages into coding tasks.

Questions
What is Zokie?
Zokie is an agent IDE: a small desktop app (about 14 MB) for macOS and Windows where the unit of work is a task. Each task gets its own git worktree and branch, an AI coding agent writes the code, and you review the diff before it becomes a pull request.
Which coding agents does Zokie work with?
Claude Code, Codex and Cursor CLI, on the subscriptions you already pay for, with no relay and no markup. Kimi Code, OpenCode, Qwen Code and Goose run over ACP, the Agent Client Protocol, with every file and command checked against your guardrails. Without a subscription, add an OpenRouter key and pick any model.
Does Zokie run on Windows?
Yes. Zokie runs on macOS and on Windows 10 and 11. Install it from a terminal with npx @zokie/zokie (Node 18 or later) or download an installer.
Is Zokie free?
Free forever covers Board, Code and Studio, Auto mode, your own models or OpenRouter and Your Day. Pro and Team add more; see zokie.dev/pricing.
Where does my code go?
Nowhere. Zokie is local by default: your code and files stay on your computer, and agents reach their providers with your own accounts.
